Hungarian Revolution [2]
Do you remember a moment in time, a week or so,
Not long, ago–five years or more–
When a nation reared its head from the floor
And cried for help,
When the pleas of bleeding children
Made murmur louder than the wind,
And we all stopped to hear,
Lamenting that our tears could not melt chains?
I recall, I promised in my heart never to forget.
I thought of it just now.
